Drone video captures moment Himalayan glacier collapsed before deadly Nepal-Tibet floods

A drone captured a moment of a massive glacier collapse near the Langtang Lirung peak, more than 7,200 meters above sea level, in the Himalayas. The footage, authenticated by BBC Verify, revealed a landslide with plumes of dust rising from the snow-covered mountains, aligning with the direction of floodwaters later seen in the Trishuli river system. Chinese photographer Richard Burton shared the video, showing the aftermath of the initial glacier collapse.
