Body found in aircraft wheel well at Southeast Asia's largest airport

A body was discovered in the wheel well of an aircraft at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, the largest in Southeast Asia, according to reports from The Star and the South China Morning Post. Engineering personnel found the individual's remains after detecting an unpleasant odor emanating from the aircraft's wheel well. The victim, whose nationality is yet to be determined, was reportedly in their 20s and had been deceased for over three days based on preliminary investigations.

However, no identification documents were found on the body. The unidentified individual was dressed in jeans and a white shirt at the time of discovery. Police are actively investigating to ascertain the victim's identity and the circumstances surrounding their death. Kuala Lumpur International Airport processed 36.7 million passengers during the first seven months of the year, marking a 3.4% increase compared to the previous year, driven by summer travel demand from Europe, the Middle East, and parts of Asia.
