Bob Njagi accuses DCP of secret deal with UDA

Human rights activist Bob Njagi has claimed that the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) is secretly collaborating with the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA), despite presenting itself as an opposition party. During an interview on Friday, August 28, 2026, Njagi suggested that there exists a conspiracy between the two political formations, stating that they could be working together while presenting themselves as rivals.

Njagi questioned the formation of DCP, which emerged after the impeachment of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. He argued that some opposition parties may be part of a larger system working to prevent political change, presenting themselves as adversaries of the government while secretly cooperating with them. Njagi emphasized that such political maneuvers could mislead voters into believing that opposition parties are genuinely working against each other.

Jubilee Party Secretary General Moitalel Ole Kenta also accused unnamed United Opposition principals of possibly colluding with the ruling UDA to weaken the opposition. Ole Kenta criticized opposition leaders for poaching members from his own party, questioning their commitment to unity.
