2027: Don’t be too confident, money will fail – Primate Ayodele warns APC, Tinubu

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has cautioned the All Progressive Congress (APC) and President Bola Tinubu against overconfidence in the upcoming 2027 presidential election. In a statement released on Friday, Ayodele stated his belief that overconfidence will be the party's downfall, as Nigerians are facing numerous hardships and may reject Tinubu at the polls.

According to Ayodele, the APC and its presidential candidate should not solely rely on money to win the election, as Nigerians are presently experiencing significant difficulties. He warned that if the ruling party believes money can solve all their problems, they will ultimately fail in the election. Furthermore, Ayodele stated that common Nigerians will be unhappy with the party's overconfidence due to their own hardships and insecurity.

The clergyman also cautioned that the Presidential Campaign Council, led by Tinubu, will be unable to change the minds of Nigerians and save the party's re-election bid. Ayodele emphasized that the issues plaguing the country must be addressed before the election, or the ruling party will face a significant backlash from voters. He warned that if the party fails to resolve these problems, the rejection of Tinubu will be enormous across the country.
