2027: Atiku beginning to sound like a sound bite — Rufai

Arise News anchor Rufai Oseni has criticized the continuous promises made by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar. During an appearance on Arise Television's 'Morning Show', Rufai stated that the former vice president is starting to sound like a mere slogan.

Atiku had promised to restore the fuel subsidy regime if he were elected as Nigeria's president in the upcoming 2027 general elections. According to Atiku, the removal of the fuel subsidy by the current administration under President Bola Tinubu has not benefited Nigeria in any way.

The ADC presidential candidate also pledged to reopen all borders in the northern region of the country to facilitate legitimate businesses. In response, Rufai remarked, "Atiku Abubakar is beginning to sound like a public sound bite to me. There's no follow-up and no clear idea of how it’s going to be done. Give Nigerians a step-by-step explanation of how you intend to achieve it."

Rufai urged Nigerians to stop the hype and instead appreciate Atiku's influence on President Tinubu to reduce CNG prices.
