‘Zero organic defenders’: Yash’s Toxic faces backlash as BookMyShow rating disappears

The film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups, once deemed a blockbuster, has encountered significant backlash following its release. Several fans have expressed disappointment, with some even demanding that others cancel their tickets. Reddit user u/Cultural-Duty5452 reported that BookMyShow, the ticket-booking platform, has removed the film's rating, displaying only the number of likes instead.

Screenshots shared by the user showed a drastic drop in the rating from 5.5/10 to a blank space, where only the count of likes is visible. While other films like Spider-Man and Batwara still display their ratings, Toxic's rating is no longer visible. Users have reacted strongly to this change, with some questioning the film's quality and others expressing surprise at its lack of organic defenders.

Toxic was originally set to release alongside Dhurandhar: The Revenge on March 19, but its release was delayed multiple times due to various reasons, including a war. Despite the promotional efforts made by the makers, including events in Bengaluru and Chennai and promotions at CinemaCon, the film has received mixed reviews. It currently holds a rating of 4.3/10 on IMDb and 6/10 on District, and has grossed Rs 140.75 crore worldwide.
