Xiaomi Officially Unveils REDMI Note 17 Series Ahead Of Local Launch

Xiaomi has officially introduced the REDMI Note 17 series, comprising four devices - the standard REDMI Note 17, a 5G version, the Pro 5G model, and the Pro Max. The company intends to announce the pricing during the official launch next week.

The flagship model, REDMI Note 17 Pro Max, boasts a 6.83-inch 1.5k CrystalRes AMOLED screen with a peak brightness of 3,500 nits. This high-end device is powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset and features up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM along with 512GB UFS4.1 storage. It is equipped with a 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery that supports 100W HyperCharge and 27W reverse wired charging.

The phone runs on Xiaomi's HyperOS 3 and offers Wi-Fi 6, dual SIM, NFC, Bluetooth 6.0, and IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K dust and water resistance. Its camera setup includes a 50MP main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide lens, alongside a 32MP front-facing camera.

The REDMI Note 17 Pro, another model in the series, shares the same 6.83-inch 1.5K CrystalRes AMOLED panel as its counterpart. However, it comes equipped with a slightly less powerful Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 SoC, along with 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB UFS3.1 storage. The device is also equipped with a smaller but still impressive 8,340mAh battery that supports 67W Hypercharge and 22.5W reverse wired charging. It also features Wi-Fi 6, dual SIM, NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, and dust and water resistance.

Lastly, the REDMI Note 17 and Note 17 5G models are very similar, with a 6.99-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen and a peak brightness of 1,200 nits. While the standard model has a Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 chipset, a 7,700mAh battery with 45W wired turbo charging and 22.5W reverse charging, and a 50MP main camera, the 5G variant uses a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 SoC and a slightly smaller 7,700mAh battery. The camera setup on these models is more basic, with a single 50MP rear camera.
