White House says no negotiations with Iran, all options on table

The United States and Iran are not currently engaged in negotiations to end the ongoing conflict, with Washington concentrating on imposing economic pressure on Tehran, according to White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt's recent interview with Fox News. President Trump's primary objective has been and will remain to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

This stance has fueled Operation Epic Fury, aimed at dismantling Iran's military capabilities, and Operation Economic Outcast, designed to cripple the country's economy. The U.S. has asserted that the Strait of Hormuz has been cleared of mines, warning Iran against planting more mines. Leavitt emphasized that no discussions are underway, and the administration will persist until Iran demonstrates a willingness to engage meaningfully.

The U.S. maintains that all options, including a naval blockade, remain viable. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent had cautioned nations against severing financial ties with Iran, citing impending secondary sanctions, although no penalties have been officially enforced. Iran has denounced the prospect of additional sanctions, with Qatar's prime minister visiting Tehran in an attempt to rekindle diplomatic efforts following tense exchanges over the escalation of economic pressure, which one Iranian official characterized as "all-out economic war."
