Wan Rosdy: Bersatu duo put people before politics

KUANTAN: Two Pahang Bersatu assemblymen have demonstrated that they put people's well-being above political considerations by supporting Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail's administration. These elected representatives, Mohd Yazid Mohd Yunus and Datuk Jasri Jamaludin, declared their support for the Pahang government and Wan Rosdy during a state assembly sitting at Wisma Sri Pahang.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Wan Rosdy expressed his gratitude to them for prioritizing the people over politics. He welcomed more elected representatives to support the state government and wished for their open arms. Jasri, on the other hand, emphasized their commitment to working with the state government to promote its policies and programs without expecting anything in return.

He reiterated that their primary focus was the interests and welfare of the people in the Lepar and Kuala Sentul constituencies. When questioned about their support if allocations were not provided, Jasri stated that they had already declared their allegiance to Wan Rosdy, putting the people's interests first. Regarding the possibility of Bersatu cooperating with BN in the upcoming 16th general election in Pahang, Jasri suggested that it was still premature to discuss the matter, but anything was possible.

The Bersatu Political Bureau, chaired by party president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, had previously endorsed the decision by both elected representatives. Pahang PN currently has 17 elected representatives, comprising 15 from Pas and two from Bersatu, represented by Yazid and Jasri.
