UNCASVILLE, Connecticut - In a dominant performance, the Golden State Valkyries secured a 89-64 victory over the Connecticut Sun on Wednesday night. The Valkyries showcased an early surge, as Janelle Salaun connected on four treys and contributed 15 points, propelling the team to a commanding 55-27 halftime lead.

Veronica Burton led the way for the Valkyries with 12 points and seven assists, while Kaila Charles added 14 points and Kaitlyn Chen chipped in with 10 points. The Sun, however, struggled to find their rhythm, going the final 3:51 of the first half without scoring and shooting a pitiful 9 of 33 from the field.

In the fourth quarter, Juste Jocyte extended the Valkyries' lead to 87-52, showcasing their impressive defensive prowess. The Golden State bench, featuring 14 players, contributed significantly to the win, with 11 players scoring at least two points. Rookie Charlisse Leger-Walker led the Sun with a season-high 17 points, while Nell Angloma contributed 11 points.
