UAE to compete in ACC Men's Premier Cup 2026 in Malaysia

The UAE's 14-member cricket team will participate in the eight-team ACC Men’s Premier Cup 2026, set to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from August 30 to September 12. The UAE have been assigned to Group B, along with Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and Singapore.

The Emirates Cricket Board announced that the UAE will kick off their tournament with a match against Qatar at the Bayuemas Oval on Monday, August 31. They will then face Kuwait at the same venue on Thursday, September 3. On Sunday, September 6, the UAE will take on Singapore at the UKM YSD Oval, followed by their final group match against Oman at the same venue on Tuesday, September 8.

The semi-finals are scheduled for Thursday, September 10, while the tournament final and the third-place playoff will be held on Saturday, September 12. Yayin Rai will lead the UAE team in the ACC Premier Cup U19 event in Ajman, and Alishan Sharafu will captain the UAE side in the ACC Rising Stars Asia 2025 tournament. The UAE are also aiming to qualify for the T20 World Cup through a qualifying tournament in Oman.
