Thai woman attacks Scottish boyfriend over bar girl affair

CHONBURI — On the evening of August 27, 2026, a 49-year-old Thai woman named Ms Prang violently attacked her 41-year-old Scottish boyfriend with a glass and a soda bottle at a restaurant in Nong Prue subdistrict, Bang Lamung district, Chonburi province, Thailand. The incident occurred at 00:16, as reported to the Pattaya City Police Station by a passerby.

Upon arrival, police and rescuers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation found the Scottish man, who suffered a severe head wound, sitting at a table bleeding profusely. He was quickly transported to a hospital for medical attention. The restaurant sustained damage from broken glass scattered across its floor. Ms Prang, the Thai woman involved in the altercation, was visibly upset and shouting when the police arrived.

She identified the injured man as her boyfriend and informed them that they had been together for around four years. Ms Prang claimed that she found out about her boyfriend's secret romantic involvement with a bar worker, which led to an angry confrontation. During the heated exchange, the boyfriend allegedly confessed, "I love her," to his wife in front of her, which caused Ms Prang to lose control and attack him with the glass and soda bottle, leaving him with a serious head injury.
