Suspended Catholic priest Fr. Adapore found at Koforidua Police Training Centre

The Catholic Diocese of Konongo-Mampong confirms that Reverend Father Samuel Adapore, whose suspension has sparked questions about his whereabouts and welfare, has been discovered at the Police Training Centre in Koforidua, Ghana's Eastern Region. In a statement issued on August 27, 2026, the Diocese explains that Fr. Adapore voluntarily enrolled himself in the Police Training Centre's programme and decided to undergo training to join the Ghana Police Service.

The Diocese does not disclose when Fr. Adapore arrived at the Training Centre or provide additional details about his decision. The clarification follows social media criticism over the suspension, questioning whether sufficient efforts were made to locate him and ensure his welfare before disciplinary action was taken.
