Streaming industry in Nigeria will soon collapse – Phyna claims

Former reality TV personality and current streamer, Phyna, has warned that the rapidly developing streaming industry in Nigeria may soon collapse. During a recent live broadcast with Jeffrey Benson, Phyna made her prediction, stating that the Nigerian streaming boom may not last. Her reasoning is that Nigerians tend to favor streamers who engage in "clip farming" and gain popularity through viral moments rather than developing solid niches or making a lasting impact.

This phenomenon has led to many streamers resorting to extreme stunts and dishonest tactics to achieve viral status and attract viewers. Phyna herself admitted to being "crazy" when she began streaming, but she decided to temper her behavior as she found it challenging to maintain the same level of energy as her male counterparts.

"Streaming in Nigeria will soon collapse because Nigerians push streamers that clip farm, go crazy and lie just to entertain streams," Phyna declared. The streamer encouraged her fellow creators to focus on producing meaningful content instead of chasing fleeting fame.
