Nepal resident Nabraz Jankatel, a 25-year trekking guide, shared his thoughts on the devastating flood during a phone call with Hanil Newspaper on the 27th. On the morning of the day before the flood, Jankatel witnessed the tragic sight of a man named Naukot and Dading being shot by a direct hit bullet in the town of Summa.

Jankatel described the entire village along the famous Ramotrek valley route as having been completely destroyed. He emphasized that it was beyond their expectations, as there had been floods in the area the previous year, and news of landslides and avalanches was common, but not to this extent. Survivors and eyewitnesses have reported their testimony about the disaster, which has swept through the Nepal-Tibet border region, shared with agencies like Reuters.

Construction worker Kim Bong-rae from Korea, living in Kathmandu, expressed his concern to Hanil Newspaper, saying that while government, military, and police forces are mobilized to search for survivors, the large amount of debris makes it difficult to recover bodies. Jankatel also reported that people in the area are desperately trying to find their relatives who have been cut off from contact.

Nauwakot, a Nepali migrant living in Nepal, mentioned in a written interview with Hanil Newspaper that they had some contact with their families before the flood, but were unable to reach them again after 3 pm yesterday. He expressed his distress at the slow recovery of communication networks in the village and the heartbreaking situation of people crying and not knowing what else they can do.

The Nepali migrant community is in a state of distress, with some members discussing sending relief supplies to each other, but finding it difficult due to blocked roads and destroyed bridges. Jankatel's worries and hopes for the village continue to follow as he returns to the scene later in the afternoon. He expressed his concern that Hindu pilgrimage season is currently ongoing, and many people were leaving their villages right before the flood hit, fearing further damage.
