Rhiya Ahir, face of CJP protest, responds to criticism over potential entry in Bigg Boss 20

Rhiya Ahir, who gained fame after obstructing a police van during the Cockroach Janta Party-led protests over the NEET exam leak, responded to criticism regarding her potential appearance on Bigg Boss 20. The Bigg Boss 20 producers initiated a voting campaign, 'Fans Ka Faisla', allowing fans to vote between Rhiya Ahir and Love Gill to decide who enters the show.

However, Rhiya faced backlash for her protest participation, with critics suggesting she solely sought fame and her goal was to participate in Bigg Boss. To address these criticisms, Rhiya Ahir, 27, shared a comment from her post stating, "She is not an activist. That is not her profession or her job. She participated in one protest, it went viral, and suddenly people started expecting activism from her as if that s her career". To clarify, Rhiya joked, "Paapi Pet Ko Bhi Paalna Hai" (I have to earn a living too).

Rhiya is a versatile individual, being an actor, model, and entrepreneur. She has been involved in theatre since the age of four-and-a-half and runs a handcrafted apparel label. Born into a family of theatre professionals, Rhiya's background in acting was already established before the viral protest video. She defended her actions during the protest, stating that she felt it was right to block the police van, as it brought attention to her and opened new opportunities.
