Doha, Qatar - The Qatar Chamber met with the Agency for the Development of Light Industry from Uzbekistan to discuss economic and trade relations between the two nations. The meeting aimed to identify investment opportunities, explore incentives and facilities for investors, and enhance private-sector cooperation.
Dr. Mohamed bin Jawhar Al Mohamed, a member of the Qatar Chamber Board, emphasized the significance of the visit in strengthening ties between the Qatari and Uzbek private sectors. He pointed out that Uzbekistan has experienced substantial economic growth, but bilateral trade remains below expectations, emphasizing the necessity of boosting private-sector collaboration.
Light industries were identified as a promising area for cooperation, with potential for partnerships in manufacturing, production, technology, and related fields.
