Plaud’s new AI recorder is a pair of earbuds

Plaud, a company popularized by its agentic AI concept, has released its most ambitious product yet: the Plaud One earbuds. These earbuds are essentially a high-tech version of the company's Note Pro voice recorder, with the added ability to record audio and convert it to detailed AI summaries via the Plaud app. The Plaud One Explorer Edition is currently available for pre-order at $249, with shipments starting in Q4 2026.

The Plaud One earbuds are equipped with a charging case that can continuously record audio for 25 hours on a single charge, with 21 days of standby power. They feature 12mm dynamic drivers and support LDAC audio, and have advanced noise-cancellation and transparency modes. Plaud emphasizes that the earbuds can record everything the Note Pro can, and even capture online meetings.

The standout feature of the Plaud One is the Plaud Agent, an AI assistant that leverages Plaud Intelligence to handle tasks using the context from recorded meetings and conversations. The Plaud One integrates with popular apps like Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion, and Slack to perform tasks. Users can manage the Plaud Agent's skills to ensure it performs tasks correctly.

Plaud plans to use usage credits for the Plaud One, similar to its Note Pro recorder. It's unclear whether Plaud Agent usage will count towards these credits or if generating summaries from recorded material will be the main drain on the user's credits. The Plaud One Explorer Edition earbuds are currently available for pre-order, with shipments beginning in Q4 2026.
