Pakistan Announces 15-Member U19 Squad for England Tour

The Pakistan Cricket Board has selected a 15-man U19 squad for their upcoming tour of England, commencing on September 2 with a Youth Test match at Arundel Castle Cricket Ground. Farhan Yousaf will lead the team, having previously guided Pakistan to victory in the ACC U19 Asia Cup in December of the previous year. The squad comprises four fast bowlers, including Mohammad Sayyam, Abdul Subhan, Rizwanullah, and Umar Zaib, alongside left-arm wrist-spinner Mohammad Huzaifa and left-arm spinner Niqab Shafiq.

Aliyan Salman, Ahmad Hussain, Jahangir Bilal, and Hayam Khan are the designated all-rounders, while Hamza Zahoor and Abdul Qadir hold the wicketkeeping duties. Farhan Yousaf, Usman Khan, and Hasnain Abbas Dar are the selected batters for the squad. The team underwent pre-tour training at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore and concluded their preparations with a two-day red-ball intra-squad match.

Pakistan U19 players Farhan Yousaf, Usman Khan, and Hasnain Abbas Dar have previously represented the team at the U19 level, with the remaining players set to make their international debuts on the tour. Shahid Anwar has been appointed head coach for the expedition, with Rao Iftikhar Anjum, Zohaib Khan, and Humayun Farhat serving as fast bowling, spin bowling, and fielding coaches respectively.

The squad list includes 15 players, with Abbas Afridi, Ali Hasnain Badshah, Farhanullah, Hassan Khan, and Ibtisam Azhar as non-traveling reserves, along with a support staff consisting of Ubaid Ullah (Physiotherapist), Ibrar Ahmed (Trainer), and Ali Hamza (Performance Analyst).
