Outgoing Mossad Chief in strong message to Iran: ‘Escalate the operations’

Iran's regime will fall through a combination of operations, economic pressure, and protests from its own people, according to recently retired Mossad chief David Barnea. Speaking at the Jerusalem Municipality, Barnea expressed support for the Trump administration's recent economic sanctions against Iran, but stated that these measures alone would not suffice and would need to be escalated further.

He emphasized that the sanctions were a necessary step, but further economic actions and operations against the regime were required until it fell. Barnea also noted that the threat posed by Iran, whether through nuclear weapons, ballistic missiles, or proxy terror, is now understood by the world, beyond just Israel's concerns. He highlighted the weakened state of Hezbollah and Hamas since October 7, 2023, stating that Israel is now more secure militarily than it was three years ago.

Barnea praised Mossad's role in disrupting Hezbollah's operations and credited the IDF for two significant invasions of Lebanon since 2024. He also called for increased tolerance and patience within Israeli society, urging people to listen to different viewpoints. Barnea will join Ondas' leadership team as its new global president and chairman, focusing on their autonomous systems and defense technologies.
