NRL live updates: Brisbane Broncos face the Melbourne Storm
All eyes will be on the Broncos as they try to shake off the Adam Reynolds furore and take down their 2025 grand final rivals at Suncorp Stadium.
The Melbourne Storm faced the Brisbane Broncos in a devastating 46-20 defeat at Lang Park, marking a disappointing farewell for several departing players. Captain Adam Reynolds was among those unable to play from the sidelines due to injury. Fans criticized a shortened pre-game tribute for Reynolds and other players heading to new clubs or retiring in 2027.
Former Queensland Maroon Billy Moore remarked, "You didn't even know there was a send-off, that's how bad it was." Broncos coach Michael Maguire acknowledged the need for improvement, stating, "We shot ourselves in the foot throughout that game and put pressure on ourselves."
