New Monsoon Spell Expected Across Different Parts of Pakistan

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has warned of a new monsoon spell affecting various parts of Pakistan this weekend. Mostly dry conditions are predicted for popular tourist spots, but northern areas may see partly cloudy skies and rain. Muzaffarabad and the surrounding regions are expected to experience rainfall, particularly in Kashmir.

Additionally, Malakand and Hazara divisions are anticipated to receive rainfall. Earlier, the Met Office had predicted thunderstorms and rain in upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. The risk of urban flooding in low-lying areas due to heavy rainfall is also a concern. Islamabad is expected to remain hot and humid, with temperatures reaching up to 36°C.

Rainfall is also predicted for the capital over the following days. In Karachi, partly cloudy skies are forecasted with a chance of light drizzle, with temperatures peaking at 34°C. Visitors planning trips to northern regions this weekend are advised to stay informed about the latest weather updates, especially when navigating mountainous terrain.
