Iran to allow no military ship in Hormuz under potential deal with Oman

Iran and Oman have reached an agreement to share revenues from the Strait of Hormuz, according to the semi-official Tasnim news agency. The Revolutionary Guards spokesperson stated that the United States was obstructing negotiations between Iran and Oman, which resulted in a delay in reaching the agreement.

A projectile struck a tanker in the Strait of Hormuz, causing a fire that was later extinguished, reported international news agency Reuters. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations agency confirmed that all crew members were safe and accounted for, with no environmental impact reported.

In response to renewed threats from the White House, Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook stated that the Trump administration had no legal basis to remove her from the central bank's governing board. Trump had previously attempted to remove her a year ago over allegations of mortgage fraud, which she denies.

In other news, at least 160 people were confirmed dead and many others missing in Nepal and Tibet after flash floods caused by the Bhote Koshi River originating from Tibet.
