'India will never bow its head': Rajnath Singh

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh declared on Wednesday that India's economy is flourishing and its defence production is surging, particularly in exports. Addressing the inauguration of the revamped Hutatma Smriti Smarak in Goa, Singh paid homage to the Goa Liberation Movement, Operation Vijay, and Operation Sindoor. He emphasized the stark contrast between India's situation in 1961 and present-day India, highlighting the country's modern military equipped with advanced technology.

Singh noted that if not for the recent crisis in the West Asia region, India would have been poised to become the world's third-largest economy. He further pointed out that India now manufactures its own weapons, a significant shift from relying on imports. The defence exports sector has reached approximately ₹50,000 crore, while the overall defence production has surpassed ₹1.8 lakh crore.

Singh underscored India's right to protect its territorial integrity, drawing parallels with past operations such as Operation Vijay in 1961 and Operation Sindoor. He affirmed that India's defence capabilities are robust, comprising warships, fighter aircraft, modern weaponry, and air power. Goa Liberation Day serves as a reminder of the country's preparedness to defend its sovereignty.

Concluding his speech, Singh declared that under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, India has ascended to the ranks of powerful nations. The world now pays close attention to India's perspectives on international platforms.
