Important to inculcate value of freedom in children: Chief of Air Staff

Children at Saraswati Gurukul in Mathabari village, near Gorakhpur, were the focus of Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Aman Preet Singh's visit on Thursday. He emphasized the importance of instilling a sense of national pride and responsibility in young people.

Sarita Singh, Air Chief Marshal Singh's wife, inaugurated a new library at the school. The students performed a skit on Operation Sindoor, which received a warm response from the Chief and other guests.

Addressing the students, Air Chief Marshal Singh highlighted the role of youth as the nation's future. He stressed the need for character-building, discipline, and perseverance. He likened the foundation of a pillar to the values and education received in childhood, stating that these form the bedrock of future success.

The Chief urged the students to respect teachers and parents, to continue striving even after setbacks, and to focus on becoming good human beings before choosing a profession. He clarified that failure itself is not a bad thing, but giving up in the face of failure is detrimental. He encouraged students to participate wholeheartedly in all their endeavors.

Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission Chairman Sanjay Singh Shrinet, present at the event, underscored the significance of self-development and values-based education. He proposed that students at Saraswati Gurukul adopt surnames that reflect their aspirations rather than their family names, emphasizing the institution's focus on purpose-driven learning.
