I bring 30 years of experience to make Dr Bawumia President – John Boadu on NPP National chair position

Former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu, has pledged to utilize 30 years of political and organisational experience to assist party leader, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, in his pursuit of the 2028 presidential election. Boadu revealed his intention to employ three decades of knowledge in party organization, communication, strategy, and discipline during a speech at the party's national headquarters in Accra after nominating himself for the National Chairman position.

Boadu emphasized that his extensive experience would enable the NPP to strengthen its foundation, ultimately securing victory in the upcoming election. His primary goal is to construct an efficient party organization capable of engaging directly with grassroots constituents and achieving the necessary parliamentary majority for the NPP's return to power.

Boadu also revealed plans to heavily focus on strengthening the party's structures at the constituency, electoral-area, and polling-station levels, enabling the party's presidential candidate to concentrate on the broader presidential campaign. Boadu's proposed strategy directly ties the NPP's organizational success to Dr Bawumia's presidential aspirations, firmly believing that a strong parliamentary performance would create the necessary conditions for the NPP to claim the presidency.
