Haryana's Ankit Balyan who sang ‘Court Mein Goli Marenge’ gunned down outside gym

Haryanvi singer Ankit Baliyan's final Instagram video has sparked controversy in the days following his tragic death. Just hours before being shot dead in Uttar Pradesh's Shamli district on August 26, Baliyan appeared on camera singing a Haryanvi song, one of whose lines read "Murder someone right on the road." Fans were left disturbed by the timing of the post in relation to his untimely demise.

The singer's murder occurred around 7 pm in Shamli Kotwali area, where he was reportedly leaving a local gym. Armed assailants, believed to be 3-4 men, opened fire on Baliyan after he left the gym. Despite receiving critical injuries, he was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The incident has ignited anger among locals and their families, with protests demanding justice for the singer.

Police have launched an investigation, reviewing CCTV footage and examining Baliyan's recent activities to establish a motive. However, authorities have not publicly disclosed why the Haryanvi artist was targeted.
