Haisco signs exclusive drug licensing deal with Sentivera

On August 25, 2026, Haisco Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. (Haisco) announced it had signed an exclusive licensing agreement with Sentivera, a new U.S. venture founded by Population Health Partners and ARCH Venture Partners. The deal grants Sentivera the rights to develop, manufacture, and commercialize Haisco's pre-clinical innovative drug globally, excluding Greater China.

The total deal value is projected to exceed USD 1.5 billion, including an upfront payment and equity consideration in Sentivera worth USD 75.89 million. The agreement also provides up to USD 1.46 billion in development, regulatory, and commercial milestone payments, as well as tiered royalties on post-launch net sales. As a key immunology asset, this drug targets the development and progression of type 2 inflammatory diseases.

Haisco's IND approval for the drug was obtained in China this month. Preclinical studies show the drug has strong anti-inflammatory activity and a favorable safety profile. This collaboration, which includes several internationally recognized life sciences investors, highlights strong market confidence in the project. It marks a significant milestone in the internationalization of innovative drugs from China, offering a potential solution for a broad range of inflammatory conditions to improve global healthspan.

Haisco sees this collaboration as aligned with its international strategy, expecting it to generate sustainable cash flow and long-term investment returns. This transaction deviates from traditional licensing out models, adopting a Newco partnership structure that fosters deeper strategic alignment and shared growth with Sentivera and its investors.
