Google announces ‘Expert Intelligence’ to let you add Play Books in Gemini Notebook

Google has unveiled a new "Expert Intelligence" feature designed to enhance user interaction with trusted sources using AI-powered tools. This functionality is currently making its debut with Google Play Books and the Gemini Notebook. By selecting an ebook purchased from Google Play Books, users can add it to their Gemini Notebook and engage with it in various ways.

Questions can be asked about the book, and responses will be generated based directly on the contents of that specific book. Additionally, users can create Infographics, Audio Overviews, Quizzes, and other feature-rich content from the book using Gemini Notebook.

The feature is also compatible with other sources beyond books, including third-party subscriptions, business research reports, and textbooks. Despite being in its early stages, Google envisions Expert Intelligence as a means to aid in content discovery and enable authors to reach new, more engaged readers. To determine if a title is eligible for Expert Intelligence, users can check the Google Play Books listing. Eligible titles will display Gemini Notebook when viewing the book's detail page under the "Tools" badge.
