First look: Lego reveals a $800 Star Wars Star Destroyer — the longest set Lego has ever constructed

Lego has unveiled its most ambitious Star Wars-themed set yet, the Executor Super Star Destroyer. This massive creation will be available for purchase on October 4th, priced at $799.99. The set contains an astonishing 6,130 pieces and stands at an impressive 53.5 inches (136 cm), making it the longest Lego set ever constructed. Due to its size, the design team had to develop a new Lego System core using Technic outriggers to provide extra strength and stability to the exterior panels.

The Executor Super Star Destroyer is based on the flagship star destroyer from Darth Vader's fleet, which first appeared in The Empire Strikes Back. It serves as Vader's base of operations and where he summons six of the galaxy's most skilled bounty hunters. All six bounty hunters - Boba Fett, Dengar, Ig-88, Bossk, 4-LOM, and Zuckuss - are included in the set as minifigures for the first time ever.

Additionally, the set features a mini-build of the ship's bridge, recreating a scene from the movie where Vader lines up the bounty hunters to find the Millennium Falcon. A to-scale version of the regular Star Destroyer is also included, allowing fans to appreciate the immense scale of the Executor.

This Ultimate Collector Series (UCS) set is not only the largest and most detailed Lego Star Wars set yet but also comes with a round tile of the Millennium Falcon, providing perspective on how enormous the Executor is in comparison. The Executor Super Star Destroyer will be available for purchase on Lego.com and in Lego stores starting on October 1st.
