The incident occurred at around 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at house number A175-BO. The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) was alerted and dispatched firefighters from the Dansoman Fire Station, who arrived at the scene at 1:39 a.m. Upon their arrival, the crew found the chop bar engulfed in flames.

Firefighters immediately initiated suppression tactics, successfully bringing the blaze under control by 1:58 a.m. The fire was fully extinguished by 2:42 a.m., preventing any further spread within the building.
