Fire breaks out at Kirwara Boys High School, bus and buildings damaged

On Wednesday, August 26, a fire erupted at Christ the King Kirwara Boys High School in Gatanga, Murang'a County, Kenya. This incident follows one reported the previous day at St Michael Secondary School in Kyenire, Mbeere North, Embu County, where a boys' dormitory was affected. In July, Jomo Kenyatta Boys' High School in Nakuru County also experienced a fire that damaged property, with the administration block among the facilities impacted.

These recent fires in Kenyan schools, especially as students return to learning after holidays, have raised concerns. Authorities are anticipated to investigate the cause of the Kirwara Boys High School fire and ascertain the full extent of the damage.
