FG begins rehabilitation of 13 police training institutions

The Federal Government has announced the initiation of rehabilitation projects for 13 police training institutions across the country, with 80 percent of contractors already receiving their award letters. Vice President Kashim Shettima emphasized that sustained economic reforms were crucial for job creation, increased purchasing power, and improved living conditions for Nigerians.

Shettima highlighted the importance of maintaining continuity in policy implementation to earn public confidence, stating that macroeconomic progress must translate into tangible benefits for citizens. The National Economic Council received updates confirming Nigeria's reclassification to frontier market status by index provider FTSE Russell, which the VP believes will open up the country to a new pool of institutional investors.
