Enablence Technologies and ShunYun Technology complete volume production readiness at Vietnam fab

Enablence Technologies and ShunYun Technology (SYT) have completed production readiness at their new fabrication facility in Vietnam. Todd Haugen, CEO of Enablence, stated that the move aims to reduce reliance on Chinese-origin supply and provide an end-to-end optical supply chain alternative. The strategic partnership between the two companies was announced in March 2026, and all major production-line equipment at SYT's Vietnamese facility is now production qualified.

Initial production lines, which include Enablence's core passive optical components, have successfully produced qualified samples that have been released to North American customers for evaluation. Enablence's supply chain integrates chip design in Ottawa, Canada; wafer fabrication, specialized assembly, packaging, and testing at its Fremont, California facility; and advanced, high-volume packaging and assembly at SYT's Vietnamese facility.

The completion of the Vietnam production facility marks the final step in building a fully compliant, resilient supply chain for optical components that power AI infrastructure, automotive LiDAR, warehouse robotics, and medical imaging.
