Multitasking on a computer can be made easier by using multiple tabs in a browser side by side. This feature is available in Chrome, Brave, and Firefox, which belong to the Chromium-based family of browsers. To enable this feature, simply right-click on one of the two desired tabs at the top of the tab bar and select "Add tabs to new split view".

Adding a second tab to the split view is as simple as right-clicking on it again and choosing "Move tab to split view". At any time, users can rearrange or resolve the split view by right-clicking on the involved tabs and selecting the desired option. In Firefox, the process is similar: right-click on the tab of the desired tab and choose "Add split view".

If a browser does not offer this feature, users can simply launch a second instance of the program using the Shift-click method on the program's icon in the taskbar. This trick works with many programs, including Office software, but not all. If the shortcut method fails, users can always try opening the program a second time from the Start menu.

Windows users also have the Snap Layout feature, which allows for quick and convenient arrangement of program windows. Two key combinations are essential for this feature: "Windows + left or right arrow key" to halve the currently used window and display it on the left or right side of the display, and "Windows + Z" to preview nine different Snap Layouts for combining two, three, or four program windows.

Users can then select the desired layout by pressing the corresponding number key or clicking on a proposal with the mouse. Alternatively, users can move the currently active program window with the arrow keys to its desired position within the layout and use the Tab key to cycle through all open windows. To switch between all open program windows on Windows, users can use the "Alt + Tab" keyboard combination, which brings up a preview of all open windows.

By holding down the "Alt" key and continuously pressing the "Tab" key, users can navigate through all open windows until the desired window is highlighted in blue. Releasing the keys then switches to the selected window.
