CT basketball star Massa Toure transferring from Hamden Hall to Notre Dame-West Haven

Massa Toure, the 6-foot-3 guard from Hamden Hall, is set to transfer to Notre Dame-West Haven for the 2026-27 season. The decision, a difficult one for the family, was made after much discussion. Massa, who played as an eighth grader and freshman at Hamden Hall, averaged 14.9 points and 4.0 rebounds per game during his time on the Green Knights, scoring a season-high 34 points against St. Luke's.

He shot 53.9% from the field and 34.9% from three-point range, while also making 30 steals. Massa is a combo guard, more of a shooter than his older brother Abdou, who won multiple awards at Notre Dame. The Toure family has a strong connection to Notre Dame, with six members playing for the boys basketball team under coach Jason Shea.

Massa has been working out with Abdou at Notre Dame and has not faced any pressure from Division I programs. The family believes Notre Dame will provide a more challenging environment for Massa's development. Hamden Hall coach Sean Doherty expressed his fondness for Massa and wished him and his family the best of luck.
