Spencer Jones added an RBI single in the seventh, while Jazz Chisholm Jr. contributed a run-scoring double. Chisholm registered a triple in the game and finished with his third three-hit performance this season. The Astros, who had first launched a 35th home run from Rice in the first inning, responded with a two-run blast from the same player in the eighth.

García followed with another two-run hit later in the game, marking his fourth hit in four at-bats after posting a stellar four for five day in Tuesday's loss. Bellinger's performance was instrumental in the Yankees' 11th win in their past 17 games, as they now find themselves 3.5 games back of AL East leaders Tampa Bay and two and a half ahead of Boston in the race for the league’s top wild card spot.
