Canadian Dollar Falls Below 200 Against Pakistani Rupee

On August 26, 2026, the Pakistani rupee (PKR) experienced a notable fluctuation against the Canadian dollar (CAD). The PKR closed at 199.8881, marking a gain of 0.3376 against the CAD. This marked the fourth consecutive day that the PKR had gained against the Canadian currency, after initially losing value. Prior to this, the PKR had strengthened against various other currencies, including the Euro (EUR) by 23 paisas and the British Pound (GBP) by 1.37.

However, it experienced a minor decline of 1.19 against the Australian dollar (AUD). The PKR's performance against other currencies such as the Euro, British Pound, UAE Dirham, and Saudi Riyal remained steady or showed minimal fluctuations during the same period.
