Bihar CM agrees to single-phase teacher exam

Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary of Bihar has approved conducting the upcoming teacher recruitment exams in a single phase, following mounting protests from job aspirants. The decision was announced on the X social media platform after a protest delegation met with the chief minister. This comes after a recent altercation in Patna, where demonstrators tried to march to the CM's residence, demanding a single-tier teacher recruitment exam and transparency in the recruitment process.

In a X post, Choudhary stated that the government had been attentive to students' demands since the beginning. The decision to hold the TRE-4 examination in a single phase was now finalized, he wrote. Additionally, the state government has set up an expert committee on examination reforms, led by a judge from Patna High Court, to propose improvements across various exams. The committee will also address students' grievances related to different examinations.

Furthermore, Choudhary mentioned the launch of the Vidyaarthi Sahayata Portal and Vidyaarthi Sahayata Shivir program to swiftly resolve students' issues and complaints.
