Anti-immigrant speaker blocked from entering Canada in time for Hamilton event

OTTAWA - Austrian anti-immigrant speaker Martin Sellner states he was denied an electronic travel authorization, preventing his arrival in Hamilton for a nationalist conference. Sellner expressed the denial as a form of political persecution and accused Canada of engaging in “silent, ethnic replacement” of its population. The Dominion Society, hosting the event, advocates for the removal of up to two million permanent residents and the deportation of five to nine million immigrants.

Jewish advocacy group B’nai Brith Canada had petitioned the government to deny Sellner’s entry, citing his youth conviction for defacing a synagogue, past neo-Nazi associations, and promotion of extremist rhetoric and racism. Hamilton Police disclosed their awareness of the Dominion Society’s ongoing search for venues for the event and advised any potential hosts to consider the potential impact on the community.
