Andoni Iraola provided an update on Cody Gakpo's future at Liverpool, stating that he does not guarantee Gakpo will remain with the team. Iraola expressed a desire for the club to sign Bradley Barcola, with Liverpool having agreed to a deal in principle for the French international. The initial fee for Barcola is expected to be just over £100 million, potentially rising to £120 million.

Liverpool has also had two bids rejected for Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh and shown interest in Crystal Palace's Ismaila Sarr. Iraola was hesitant to discuss Barcola but emphasized that the club is actively trying to improve and fill the available positions. Gakpo has received interest from Tottenham and Manchester City, but Iraola did not confirm whether Gakpo will stay at Liverpool.
