AMCHAM, Speak highlight AI's role in developing global workforce

The American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM), in collaboration with Speakeasy Labs, a company specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) language learning technology, organized a forum on Wednesday focusing on the impact of AI on developing a globally competitive workforce. The event, named "The New Workforce: How AI Is Powering the Next Generation of Global Talent," gathered senior executives, human resources professionals, and business leaders to explore how AI is transforming talent development, workplace communication, and cross-border collaboration.

The speakers highlighted effective communication, AI literacy, and cross-cultural collaboration as essential elements for sustainable global growth as Korean companies expand their operations abroad. Kwon Oh-hyung, AMCHAM's vice chairman and senior vice president, president of Asia-Pacific at Qualcomm Technologies, and Connor Zwick, co-founder and CEO of Speakeasy Labs, delivered the opening remarks.

Kwon emphasized that "technology alone does not drive transformation. Its real value emerges when people have the skills and confidence to put it to work," stressing the importance of equipping individuals with the necessary skills and confidence to leverage AI effectively in their roles.
