7,600 Families Receive Rs. 38 Billion Govt Loan

Pakistan's government loan initiative, PM Apna Ghar, has seen notable growth since June 2026, disbursing over Rs. 38 billion to more than 7,600 families. The program's approved financing nearly doubled to Rs. 280 billion, while loan approvals surged 84 percent to more than 46,000. Applications for the program have also risen by 52 percent to over 139,000.

Agricultural financing has expanded, with the number of agricultural borrowers increasing from 3.26 million to 3.37 million, while agricultural financing remained at Rs. 1.26 trillion. Under the Zarkhez program, more than 58,000 farmers registered, with bank approvals increasing 12 percent to over 16,700 and Rs. 7.2 billion in approved financing disbursed to around 5,000 loans.

Efforts are being made to expand access to formal financing for small and medium enterprises, with 330,000 SMEs accessing approximately Rs. 1.05 trillion in formal finance. The financing strategy is also integrating credit with working capital, long-term investment, export refinancing, and performance-based incentives to foster business growth and exports.

The Pakistan Accelerated Vehicle Electrification Program has also witnessed growth, with over 83,000 applications, 15,800 approved, a 24 percent increase since June, and Rs. 7.2 billion in disbursed loans to over 4,000 electric vehicles.
