The joint venture will encompass radiotherapy, chemotherapy, surgical oncology, diagnostic services, laboratory facilities, and palliative care, all within ICCA’s current infrastructure. ICCA’s Director General Shehu Yar’Adua emphasized that this agreement aligns with the founding vision of Hajiya Turai Yar’Adua, ICCA’s founder, who established the centre in 2009 to eliminate the need for Nigerians to seek treatment abroad.
Innova Healthcare’s Managing Director Francis Shokoya highlighted the company’s intention to collaborate with organizations like ICCA to render cancer treatment both affordable and accessible. The collaboration aims to address Nigeria’s rising cancer burden by enhancing access to advanced cancer care services in the Federal Capital Territory.
Additionally, the partnership will focus on training and capacity development for Nigerian clinical and technical personnel, alongside the procurement of advanced equipment such as the Venus X radiotherapy machine, manufactured by Linatech.
