USS Abraham Lincoln heads to Thailand for a brief stop after lengthy deployment at sea

Thailand's government confirmed that the carrier would make a brief stop in the country for rest and recovery, though no specific details about the port or arrival date were provided due to security concerns. The Royal Thai Navy stated that three ships from the U.S. Navy's carrier strike group would participate in the visit, but no military exercises would be conducted.

The U.S. embassy in Bangkok and the U.S. Navy declined to comment on the matter. While hostilities between the U.S. and Iran have eased recently, the Navy is maintaining a blockade on Iranian ports in the Strait of Hormuz, and the Trump administration has not indicated plans to wind down the war.
