Tim Curry, the celebrated actor whose stage and screen presence left an indelible mark on popular culture, has passed away at the age of 80, according to numerous news outlets. He succumbed to his passing on Tuesday, a fortnight after enduring a debilitating stroke; however, Curry continued to remain a familiar face in the public sphere.

Renowned for his roles in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," "Annie," "Clue," and "It," among others, Curry's career spanned various genres and mediums. He was bestowed with an Emmy Award and garnered several nominations for a Grammy, two Oliviers, and three Tonys. Curry also showcased his musical abilities through three studio albums and authored a memoir titled "Vagabond" in 2025.

Born on April 19, 1946, in Grappenhall, Cheshire, Curry embarked on his professional journey with a West End production of "Hair" in 1968. His subsequent performances included "The Pirates of Penzance," "Amadeus," "My Favorite Year," and "Spamalot." On the silver screen, Curry starred in films such as "Legend," "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York," "The Three Musketeers," "Muppet Treasure Island," "Addams Family Reunion," "Charlie's Angels," and "Scary Movie 2."
