Texas Tech Coach Admits He'd Consider Adding a Player Cut From the NFL

The NCAA passed rules similar to those adopted by the Big Ten and SEC, which ban such players from playing in their conferences. McGuire mentioned that his team is cautiously monitoring the developments and considering adding players who might improve the team, but so far, no NFL coaches have been contacted, nor have they scouted potential players. He noted that some players, like an offensive lineman who was cut during minicamps, could potentially be affected by the new rules, but it remains uncertain whether the rule would impact them as they did not sign an NFL contract.
