However, he insisted that the deal would not proceed if Saudi Arabia does not normalize relations with Israel. The US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced the operation, which involves new sanctions targeting four India-based companies for importing petroleum and petrochemical products from Iran.

China's stance is that while the economic onslaught against Iran's global financial connections may present challenges, it should not disrupt China-Iran cooperation.
