‘Survivor’ Season 51: Meet the 21 Castaways

Season 51 of the reality competition show “Survivor” is set to premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 23, after the milestone 50th edition of the series. Jeff Probst, host of the show, has introduced the Open Era for this new season, promising gameplay mechanics that will feature returning twists and advantages from previous iterations. As before, “Survivor” will return to the Mamanuca Islands in Fiji for the 19th consecutive season.

The 21 castaways for this season include a diverse group of individuals from various backgrounds and professions. Aaliyah Puglia, a 24-year-old chef from Gloucester City, New Jersey, will be participating in the show. She is described as confident, wise, and sporadic. Alexis Levine, a 34-year-old criminal defense attorney from Atlanta, Georgia, is outgoing, thoughtful, and determined.

Thien An Nguyen, a 24-year-old medical student from Fort Worth, Texas, is quick-witted, empathetic, and outgoing. Ana Sani, a 34-year-old voice actress from Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada, is goofy, ambitious, and chaotic. Jelly Loblack, a 29-year-old sociology professor from Garland, Texas/Midwest City, Oklahoma, is curious, multifaceted, and passionate.

Jelly hails from a dual hometown, as she grew up in Garland, Texas, and later moved to Midway City, Oklahoma. The remaining 21st contestant will take the place of whoever becomes the first boot.
