A village or a provincial park… Chungnam stands at a crossroads in choosing a route for the semiconductor transmission line

The South Korean government's transmission line construction project requires a decision between building one in a designated park or passing it through individual villages. According to Korean Electric Power Corporation, the project involves determining the location of the 345km "Shinjeong-eup-Dojeong-ro transmission line" with three sections.

The location committee, composed of local representatives and residents, is reviewing the route passing through the 3.5km-long designated park in Daeheung Mountain. If this route is not chosen, the transmission line would likely pass through several villages in the Gimsan-si-si district in Gimsan-myeon. The alternative route goes through several villages in the Gimsan-si-si district.
